"Memory" when copying files in Windows Vista

Unbelievable but true! Copy files in Windows Vista a problem!

This really did not expect, and yet, when copying some files from an external hard drive in Windows Vista , an error message tells me about the impossibility to continue the requested operation: "Insufficient memory to complete this operation" !
And luckily it was a simple copy of files on a system with 2GB of RAM!
not alone! The problem may not manifest itself explicitly that the only way to realize it would be to compare the properties of the source folder with the target ...!
I can not believe! I fear for any mistakes configuration caused by my hardware / software and instead, with a simple search on the web , it turns out the bug is well known and that a hotfix will be included in Service Pack 1 Windows Vista of .
Investigating further I discover that the problem is related to the management of extended attributes in Explorer : visit the ' article in the Microsoft Technical Support site for more (many) details.
The problem might arise when you try to copy over 16,400 files at one time and is more noticeable if you have installed Kaspersky (ver. 6 or 7), although the core of the problem lies in a "memory leak" caused solely by Windows Vista (see article on ZDNet ).
If you really can not do to wait for the SP1 you can always ask for ' a Microsoft hotfix or use alternative commands such as Robocopy not affected by the problem ... I, actually, I did the restart with a copy another operating system ... trust a Microsoft operating system is good but to rely altro, quando possibile, รจ decisamente meglio!
;)
